ARTOONATOR

Editorial illustration for an article about nightmares in 'Algemeen Dagblad' (Dutch newspaper). I also posted the WIP.

New illustrations for articles about children's rights (In Holland 'kids' under 18 can be judged through adult law in severe situations. What defines 'severe' is a grey area.) and for an article about privacy in modern society.

Illustration Friday's topic is clandestine. My christmas murder special contains some pretty clandestine characters....

Caricatures are about catching personality. I think I managed to nail them both, but maybe it's better to leave the final judging up to you.

Dwight is the illustration friday pretender here:
"Michael, you should make me leader while you're gone"
"..That's what she said!"

The mayor just visited the bakery and bought a bag full of sugary sweet goods.

Tribute to a madman

Here's another one in the caricature series, be it more subtile. Heath 'joker' Ledger made a big impression on me. I tried to capture the essence with his eyes and the maniac with his mouth.

Photoshop, tablet.

Angelina

My wife, seeing Angelina Jolie on tv, said to me; "Even when she's being filmed on the street by some paparazzo she looks gorgeous".
So than I thought; "Aha! But what if she was caricaturised by some illustrator!?" ...you tell me.

The boy

Practice session with photoshop and wacom tablet. I see this as a personal breakthrough in my digital painting skills.
